OUR STORY

North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs.  Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois.  After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers.  Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. 

In order to have our wine list and cocktail menu meet our expectations, we have pushed for our cuisine,  we have brought in Chicago mixologist Tanner Greenlee to design perfect seasonal cocktails to complement our food. 

Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets on our outdoor patio overlooking Forest Lake, or enjoy a table in our panoramic indoor patio, year round.
